Expressions of Interest for the Role of National Technical Director
All,
The National Technical Director along with the National Technical Committee, have the responsibility of working out what changes of rules are required to make the future of the Formula Vee category remain as attractive as it always has been.
The current National Technical Director, Michael Lloyd, has indicated that after 3 years in the position, he will not be re-standing for the position for 2014. The FVAA therefore are calling for Expressions of Interest for members who would like to stand for this influential position.

Removal of Graphite Coating for 1200 AA Pistons
All,
It was recently discovered that the AA pistons that are the only 1200 piston currently available are coming into Australia with a graphite coating and the Formula Vee regulations do not allow coatings to pistons. The National Technical Committee (NTC) looked into the coating and found that it was only a graphite coating and was easily removed with steel wool and therefore was not considered to be a performance gain in any way.

Link to the Fuel Injection Survey
As per the previous news release talking about the Fuel Injection Project currently being developed by a group of students from the University of Adelaide. As part of the projects the students were asked to develop a survey so they can work out what you as competitors are thinking. Please take 5 minutes or so to go through this short survey which asks you some very general questions about Formula Vee and Fuel Injection as well as providing you with the ability to type in your thoughts.
Fuel Injection Project Update – University of Adelaide
FVAA Members, In case you are not aware, in February of this year, the FVAA BoM agreed to support a group of students from the University of Adelaide who offered to produce a design for a Prototype Fuel Injection System that could potentially be incorporated into Formula Vee some time in the future. Please note that Fuel Injection is definitely not decided upon as a firm direction and until full consolation of the FVAA membership occurs then it will remain only an option being studied.
